Schuyler Quartiers
Schuyler Quartiers has been training and performing locally since the age of two. She started in the arts taking dance classes such as ballet, jazz, hiphop, acrobatics, tap, musical theatre, lyrical, modern and contemporary. This passion for performing later led her to start vocal training and later performing in her first musical at the age of eight.
From then on, performing was a constant in her life. Since 2015 she has been involved in over 40 musical productions. Schuyler’s passion for theatre only grew when she began sharing it with others. She has been teaching theatre locally at the Wood Theatre’s “Theatre for Tots” for seven years along with choreographing for local productions at Schuylerville Community Theatre and Glens Falls Community Theatre since 2023.
Some of Schuyler’s most recent notable roles include Marcy Park (Spelling Bee - GFHS Theatre), Louisa von Trapp (Sound of Music - Homemade Theatre), Narrator (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat - Lighthouse Productions) and Alyssa Greene (The Prom - GFHS Theatre). During her High School theatre career she was also nominated for Best Supporting Actress at Proctors annual High School Musical Theatre Awards in 2022 where she got to perform and be one of two representatives of her school.
Along with performing, Schuyler has been highly engaged in and out of her school community. She is the residing Secretary of the Board of Project Cameron’s Story, a local not for profit children’s charity where she has been volunteering since its founding. Schuyler held other leadership positions throughout her time in High School such as Secretary (‘23), Vice President (‘24) and President (‘25) of the Glens Falls Theater Ensemble - along with being the Social Media Manager for all the listed years. She was the Vice President of her Junior and Senior class and Secretary of Key Club for her Junior and Senior year.
Schuyler has had a passion for teaching since a young age in and outside of the performing arts, she will be continuing her education at SUNY Oneonta in Fall 2025 where she will be majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in Theatre which she hopes to use to become not only a teacher in the area but also continue to teach the arts, perform and one day direct.
She is extremely thankful for all the support she has received from the community in helping her efforts, she recently received fourteen local scholarships which will go towards the continuation of her education. Above all else, her goal is to create a space where her students don’t just learn how to perform - they discover how to fully express themselves, grow in confidence, and fall in love with the arts as a whole. After all, that is truly what matters most.
